BookCliff Vineyards – Palisade, Colorado
A delightful option for a Colorado vacation is to visit the vineyards that are dotted through the state, particularly around Palisade along the Colorado River and in the fertile ground in the area. One of those vineyards is the BookCliff Vineyard and Winery.
Palisade is near Boulder where the BookCliff Tasting Room and winery are located in the home of the vineyard owners. The owners started the vineyard in 1999 and put the winery in the basement of their home in Boulder. The winery had to meet state regulation standards and then it was up and running.
The vineyards in the area have been reestablished in this area of the Western Slope after being uprooted and replaced with orchards during the years of the Prohibition. Now they are thriving and producing great wines for your enjoyment.
